How to Export from Goodreads

Export your entire Goodreads library — including ratings, shelves, and review data — as a CSV file that FrugalBookHunt can instantly search for deals.

1

Go to Goodreads Import/Export

Visit goodreads.com/review/import and log in to your account. You can also find this under My Books → Import/Export in the sidebar.

2

Export Your Library

Click the "Export Library" button. Goodreads will prepare a CSV file of your entire bookshelf. This may take a minute if you have many books.

3

Download the CSV File

Once ready, click "Download your export" to save the CSV file to your computer. The file is usually named "goodreads_library_export.csv".

4

Open in FrugalBookHunt

Go to the FrugalBookHunt tool page, select the CSV Upload tab, and drop your file. FrugalBookHunt will automatically detect the Goodreads columns.

5

Browse Deals

FrugalBookHunt will display all your books with links to the cheapest used copies across eBay, Vinted, AbeBooks, ThriftBooks, and more. Click any seller to find the best deal.

💡 Tips

  • • Goodreads limits exports to your entire library — you can't export just one shelf
  • • The export includes ISBN, which helps FrugalBookHunt find exact matches
  • • If you have duplicate editions, FrugalBookHunt searches by title + author
  • • You can re-export anytime to get your latest reading data
